From mouths of babes...

I get home from my Monday evening trip to Faith House to discover that our laptop has given up; not only that, the entire HD seems to have been wiped in an effort to rectify the lost cause that has been our laptop.

Kate - exasperated declares "well that is that then - it is well and truely finished..."

7 year old Eryn delighted says "oh goodie .... now we can have an Apple...!"
I have always said we should listen to the the wisdom of our children...!

Quite right, my friend. I don't know why I didn't make the switch earlier myself. Welcome to the club.

Hi Gordon,

It must be the season when laptops die. Mine did the same, they seem to think it is the motherboard. An Apple looks like a good idea for me as well.

The FDF still needs convincing!!

FDF - Family Director of Finance. Got myself a copy of Volf's Exclusion and Embrace - good old Karen has a good collection of Volf.

Sympathies, Gordon - our FDF proved implacable and I now have a very neat little HP laptop...I do like it, but it definitely isn't a Mac (and thus cost a good £700 less)

Dixons duty free is the way forward. 2.2Ghz macbook £705

Lot of computer for your money
No viruses
They don't crash

It'd be poor stewardship to buy anything else!
