Back from Holiday...

A soggy week under canvas was inevitable but nevertheless enjoyable.

I enjoyed late night DVD watching with the portable DVD player up to my
nose to simulate my much loved front row at the cinema! So enjoyed the
Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest , was disturbed by Kidadulthood (thanks Nick!) and was intrigued with the account of the last days of Hitler in
Downfall.

Caught up with some reading:

Tony Jones' The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life' -
Excellent and highly resourceful.
Mark Yaconelli's 'Contemplative Youth Ministry: Practicing the Presence
of Jesus' - OK - worth borrowing
Gerald Hughes' God of Compassion - has started well!

Managed to beat Kate at scrabble - no mean feat!

Had a great time with the Eryn, Bethan and Kate in the New Forest, but
yet fail to see the point of crabbing!

I thought of you when I was watching the England Brazil game. I was pondering on a weekend when there was a news items* about there no longer being enough room in London for motionless, lifeless statues...Frank Lampard still gets picked! :-))

Along the world famous Oxford street in London's Westend; nestled in among the classy frontage of designer shops there is almost an unnoticeable, unimpressive wooden door. It is more or less alongside The Regent Hall's main entrance onto the busyness of Oxford Street. People pass the wooden door oblivious to the equally unimpressive wooden steps that go up three storey's to what was Regent Hall's youth club. When I was 10 I played on these bare wooden steps totally unaware of the significance behind and upon which I played.
